Our Company History
Welcome to our on-line store! The Education Station Inc. is owned and operated by Dawn & John MacGregor. Dawn has
a Master's of Teaching Degree from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and has endorsements in reading, early childhood,
and K-6 Spanish. She has taught first grade since 1998. John has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in biology from Central
College in Pella, Iowa. Before managing The Education Station Inc., John was a quality assurance technician at Wells'
Blue Bunny Ice Cream Company. He is currently a member of the LeMars Ambulance service.
Our business
began in 2001 as JDMac Laminating. We ran the business out of our home and provided 1.5 mil laminating services. In May of
2003, we expanded our business to include educational supplies. We converted our garage into a store and expanded our laminating
services to include laminating in a variety of sizes and thickness up to 30 mil.
In July 2004, we
made another huge change. We moved to a retail store location, more than tripling the size of our current store. The name
of our business became The Education Station Inc. We now carry products from over 300 different manufacturers.
When you visit The Education Station Inc. you will find friendly, helpful people ready to meet your needs. We pride
ourselves in our knowledgeable staff. Staff members have experience in the teaching field. This will keep us up-to-date on
trends in teaching and will provide resources for parents and teachers.
